Attention: More children today are playing soccer than ever before — but the truth is, millions of young players aren't even close to reaching their full soccer potential.
Desire: Futsal involves many short-sided, high-intensity, 1v1 to 3v3 games within a 25-minute period. It contributes to an active and fun experience that helps players develop quickly and successfully.
Futsal is an exciting fast-paced small-sided game played with a weighted, smaller ball on a faster, harder surface. The nature of the Futsal game accelerates ball control and enhances other soccer skills that translate perfectly to the outdoor game. Compared to the outdoor game, Futsal uses fewer players (5v5) playing on smaller areas. According to the English FA, research indicates that individuals playing Futsal receive the ball six times more often than they would play 11-a-side soccer. Players are always around the ball. In a typical outdoor 5v5 game there will be minutes when a player may not touch the ball. This is not the case in futsal.
With its small court and lack of walls, players must have good ball control, precise passing and are constantly required to make quick decisions and find creative solutions. These technical and tactical challenges result in a more rapid skill development than regular soccer training.
Futsal is the best way to increase your child's soccer skills because it is a small sided game that mimics soccer played at the highest levels of the game.
Futsal develops superior players because it is played at competitive game speed on a small, hard surface. The ball moves faster, and the game moves quicker, making excellent technical and tactical ability essential for success. In Futsal there are no walls, so players must develop outstanding ball control, dribbling skills and passing accuracy.
Interest: When physically stronger players play against weaker players in regular 11v11 soccer games, the stronger players immediately move the ball up the field to exploit their advantage. This forces all players to simply wait and watch this rudimentary, boring style of play. In Futsal however, superior players are routinely held to their own end because of their inability to control the balls in traffic
Futsal training improves speed of play up and down the field and teaches soccer footwork that translates directly to 11v11 outdoor games. Good Futsal coaches will screen your child during outdoor practices and develop new drills to teach superior dribbling and 1-touch passing which can only be learned in a small court game.
