Lisandro Lopez, an average boy hailing from a small NJ town, nurtured an extraordinary passion for futsal. His dreams weren't confined to being a regular player, instead, he aspired to stand out and make his mark in the futsal world. That's when his path intersected with FDP Futsal, a program committed to elevating his game.

In the ensuing two years, Lisandro committed wholeheartedly to the FDP Futsal program, balancing it with his outdoor soccer activities. His sheer perseverance and tenacity saw him quickly ascend in ranks, being selected for FDP Select and participating in top-tier tournaments.

However, this was merely the inception of his journey. The wide-ranging network and contacts of FDP afforded Lisandro an opportunity to represent FDP Futsal at the USYF regional trials. His exceptional performance didn't go unnoticed and resulted in an invitation to the USYF National Team trials in Kansas City.

As the former director of the New Jersey USYF Academy and a part of the USYF National Futsal Academy Program, I, Coach Niko, alongside the FDP Futsal Academy coaching staff, provide insight into what the USYF National coaches anticipate. Our training curriculum aligns with the USYF National Academy curriculum, a significant advantage for aspiring players aiming to shine at the USYF Regional and National trials and potentially representing the US at global competitive stages.

Lisandro was on cloud nine; he was about to play among the finest young futsal talents nationwide, all due to the doors opened by FDP Futsal Academy.

Impressing the regional-level coaches/scouts, Lisandro was invited to the USYF National Trials in Kansas City. It's with immense joy and pride that we announce Lisandro's selection for the USYF International team for his age group, set to compete in Brazil this August.

Ana Lopez, Lisandro’s mother, expressed her gratitude saying, "I want to acknowledge that Lisandro made the team. We owe you a debt of gratitude. Without FDP, Lisandro wouldn’t be where he is now. Thank you and Coach Farrell. The competition for the 2012 age group was intense and selection must have been tough for the coaches. Lisandro's unwavering dedication and his adaptability on the field have been noticed by many of the coaches. Thank you for nurturing Lisandro’s futsal skills."

FDP hasn’t just sharpened his skills but has offered exposure, opportunities, and contacts that would have been otherwise inaccessible.

Now, with heightened determination and FDP's support, Lisandro is committed to relentlessly pursuing his dreams, knowing that with FDP by his side, he can achieve the unimaginable.

So, with the news of Lisandro's inclusion in the USYF International team, the energy within our FDP Futsal Academy has never been higher. His success story has lit a spark in our other young aspirants, reminding them that hard work, dedication, and the right guidance can turn dreams into reality.

In preparation for the upcoming competition in Brazil, Lisandro is now focusing on an intensive training regimen. We are ensuring he is well-equipped to face the challenges that come with international competition. His coaches are meticulously working on refining his skills, enhancing his tactical understanding, and boosting his physical endurance.

As for Lisandro's position on the field, his flexibility and understanding of the game have been duly noted. His ability to shift from the "ala" to "fixo" position with ease has impressed many coaches. They appreciate his dynamic approach to the game, especially his aptitude for defensive maneuvers. We believe these qualities will contribute significantly to the team's performance in Brazil.

Meanwhile, the academy continues to maintain a supportive environment for all our players, reinforcing our belief in every player's potential. Lisandro's journey is a testament to the academy's philosophy, and his achievement acts as a beacon of inspiration for all the other aspiring players.
