Learn Futsal, Get ID For Winter Futsal Teams
Introduction
Futsal has been around for decades and has become an important part of any soccer players development. It's a fast paced game that can be played indoors or outdoors on a small court. At FDP Academy we have created multiple opportunities for players to play futsal throughout the year which includes our winter select teams, 2022 id camps and more!
Futsal is a fast-paced, indoor version of soccer that provides the same benefits as regular field soccer. Futsal enhances technical development and ball movement, quick decisions under pressure, coordination and speed of play.
FDP Academy is announcing the creation of winter futsal select teams and the futsal id camps. The id camps are designed to place players into one of the FDP teams based on their skill level. Players will learn new techniques while being coached by current professional soccer and futsal players from around the area who have competed in the national and international level as well as former USYF National Academy Program staff, who have an extensive background in coaching youth soccer and futsal.
Futsal is a fast paced sport that enhances development. It’s a great way to develop skills, and helps prevent overuse injuries and burnout from playing too much soccer on hard surfaces.
Futsal is a great way to develop quickness, strength, ball control, passing ability, dribbling ability and more. The low-impact nature of futsal allows you to play as often as you want without having to worry about getting injured. With each session being shorter in duration than a basketball game or full size soccer match this makes it ideal for younger players who need more time on the court but not necessarily more game time (no offense).
Futsal is a lot of fun. Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced game that you'll love playing. It's also a great way to get some exercise.
Futsal is a small-sided game that is played on a smaller field with fewer players. It is played with a smaller ball. Because of these factors, futsal enhances technical development, ball movement, quick decisions under pressure, coordination and speed of play.
Futsal is played on a smaller area than the grass soccer fields you are used to. It's also played with a smaller, less bouncing ball, instead of the bigger more bouncing balls found in outdoor soccer games. The goal size is smaller as well (6 feet wide by 8 feet tall), which allows for more shots from closer range. Finally, there are usually fewer players per team (5v5) than in outdoor soccer game. These differences all help prevent overuse injuries and burnout from playing too much soccer on hard surfaces.
